Nimble at Oracle AI World 2026: live web context for OCI agents

Agents on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) know a company's own data: its suppliers, forecasts, accounts and vendors. To act on that data, they also need to know what changed outside the company today, and that context lives on the live web. We'll be discussing best practices for discovering token-efficient, secure, and trustworthy web data at Oracle AI World in Las Vegas From October 26-28.

Here are the use case demo sessions we'll be running at Oracle’s OCI GenAI booth:

  • Monday, Oct 26, 2:00 PM: Supplier risk alerts in Oracle Fusion Cloud SCM
  • Tuesday, Oct 27, 11:00AM Market-driven forecasts in Oracle Fusion Cloud EPM
  • Tuesday, Oct 27, 2:00 PM: Account intelligence in Oracle NetSuite
  • Wednesday, Oct 28, 2:00 PM: Building an OCI agent with live web search

Our CEO, Uri Knorovich, will also take the stage to show how Oracle uses Nimble to ground its AI in live, trustworthy web data.

Unify internal OCI data with external web context

OCI agents already know a company’s suppliers, forecasts, accounts and vendors. Nimble adds what changed outside the company today, so the agent can reason over internal records and live web context together in a single run. Every finding comes back with a link and a publication date, and the agent can act on it inside Oracle. Here is why OCI customers use Nimble for web search:

  • Token efficiency: Nimble is the most token-efficient way to search the web. It sends the model only the relevant text from each page, along with its title, link and date, instead of full pages. In our test, results came to about 8,000 tokens per search, versus about 49,000 with full page content.
  • Governance: You control what web data your agent searches and retrieves. That includes which sources it can use, what it sends to the web, and how many searches it runs per record.
  • Security: Nimble scans web content before it reaches your agent. Malicious files, harmful content and prompt injections are flagged before the model ever reads them.

The four use cases below show how this works in real Oracle workflows, and each one runs live at the Oracle booth.

Supplier risk alerts in Oracle Fusion Cloud SCM

The problem: Supplier risk reviews often run quarterly, but supplier news breaks daily. In October, J.G. Kern Enterprises announced a closure after Ford pulled its contract, and Mosaic idled a phosphate plant. Oracle Fusion holds the orders, not the news.

The OCI agent + Nimble workflow: The agent reads suppliers and open orders from Oracle Fusion Cloud SCM. Nimble searches the web for each supplier and returns dated, sourced findings. OCI Enterprise AI weighs them against open orders and marks each supplier Act now, Watch or No change.

The end result: Buyers start the day with a short list, the dollars at stake and a source for every flag. The demo reviews twelve suppliers in about two minutes.

Market-driven forecasts in Oracle Fusion Cloud EPM

The problem: FY27 budgets were set months ago, but their drivers kept moving. In September, Sungrow raised storage prices by 5% to 15% and New York selected 950 MW of bulk storage. A spring spreadsheet holds none of this.

The OCI agent + Nimble workflow: The agent reads each driver and assumption from Oracle Fusion Cloud EPM Planning. Nimble searches the past month per driver and returns dated findings. OCI Enterprise AI writes one takeaway per driver and proposes a change within an FP&A cap.

The end result: Planners watch the budget-to-forecast bridge build, check each source, and submit in Oracle EPM. In the demo, nine drivers move FY27 revenue 5.6% above budget.

Account intelligence in Oracle NetSuite

The problem: NetSuite holds the account, deal and renewal date, but not this week's customer news. When Omron agreed to acquire OnLogic for $675 million, the CRM record stayed the same. Reps rarely have time to check by hand.

The OCI agent + Nimble workflow: The agent reads strategic accounts and deals from NetSuite through the NetSuite AI Connector Service. Nimble reads each account's news from the past seven days. OCI Enterprise AI ranks each account: contact today, this week or no action.

The end result: For each account to call, the rep gets the executive, three talking points and a dated source per finding. The demo reviews twelve accounts in under two minutes.

Building an OCI agent with live web search

The problem: Agents that read only company tables miss outside events. On October 16, CISA added a BeyondTrust zero-day to its exploited flaws list, which a vendor agent without web access would never see. Many search tools also pull full pages into the prompt, raising cost and run time.

The OCI agent + Nimble workflow: One MCP tool definition in the OCI Responses API adds Nimble to any OCI agent, with no tool loop in your code. Guardrails send only entity names and domains, cap searches per row and log every call in OCI Logging.

The end result: A vendor watch agent covers the full vendor master, and one SQL query lists the vendors that need action. In our test, Nimble's compact results came to about 8,000 tokens per search, versus about 49,000 with full pages.

See it live at the Oracle booth

Each session runs an agent live on an Oracle workflow your team already uses, against real news from the past few weeks. You'll see it find what changed, cite every source and turn it into an action in Fusion, EPM or NetSuite. You'll also leave with a simple first step: pick one list of suppliers, drivers, accounts or vendors, run it against recent web news, and count what your team missed.

Find us at the Oracle booth at 2:00 PM every day, plus 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 28.

FAQ

Answers to frequently asked questions

When are Nimble's demos at Oracle AI World 2026?
plusminus

Nimble runs live OCI agent demos at the Oracle booth at 2:00 PM every day of Oracle AI World, October 25 to 28, 2026, in Las Vegas. Wednesday, October 28 adds an 11:00 AM session.

How do OCI agents get live web search?
plusminus

Add Nimble as a tool of type mcp in the OCI Responses API, with Nimble's MCP server URL and a list of allowed tools. OCI calls the MCP server directly, so your code needs no tool loop. Each result comes back with a link and a publication date.

Can Oracle NetSuite agents use live web data?
plusminus

Yes. The NetSuite AI Connector Service connects NetSuite to outside AI through MCP. One agent can use NetSuite for account and deal records and Nimble for this week's web news about each account.

How do OCI agents cite their web sources?
plusminus

Nimble returns every finding with a link to its source page and its publication date, so the agent only flags what it can cite. On OCI, every tool call can also be logged in OCI Logging for an audit trail.
