Methodology
Nimble ran a set of 250 short, fact-seeking questions spanning multiple domains, using the same single-verifiable-answer format popularized by OpenAI's SimpleQA benchmark.
Claude answered each question using each engine under strictly isolated conditions. Each answer was then compared against the verified answer and manually reviewed to classify the result as correct or incorrect.


Methodology
Each engine extracts the same set of public URLs under the same configuration. The single-config run puts every engine on its default settings with no per-URL tuning, 5,856 unique real-world URLs across 2,107 domains.
Grading is local and deterministic, with no LLM judge. Scores come from anchor recall and token overlap against ground truth, so the same inputs always produce the same result. Ground truth is built once up front, with Claude Haiku pulling the verbatim facts and anchors, then frozen.
